Untamed Celtic Folk n‘ Roll

A guitar, a fiddle and a bagpipe – that’s how The Green Goblins started out in 2017. As a street music band, they quickly made a name for themselves in the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and France with their unmistakable and captivating way of giving traditional Irish songs a new lease of life. The band won the ‘Rhythmus unter freiem Himmel’ music competition in Emmendingen in the year it was founded and the first demo recordings were also made.

The band remained true to its purely acoustic arrangement for a long time, but expanded to include a percussionist. With their energetic performances, their melodious and powerful songs, The Green Goblins expanded their geographical area and performed widely in pubs, on smaller stages, as street music and at private events. During this time, they also conquered the stages of medieval markets, where they were a welcome and celebrated guests.

The Green Goblins continued to develop musically. They developed their own style in the interpretation of traditional Irish songs and gave them the necessary amount of drive. Original compositions, powerful, epic, melodic songs in the style of Celtic Folk’n’Roll expanded the repertoire.
